Every bar and set on our website has a subscription option on its product page: singles 5% off (every two weeks, every month or every eight weeks), 3-packs 10% off (every month, every eight weeks or every three months) and the variety set 15% off (every month, every three months or every six months). From your account you can skip a delivery, pause, resume or cancel, and update your card or shipping address. To change how often it arrives or which bar you get, email info@thebricksoap.com. On Amazon, Subscribe & Save is enabled on our listings.

Thirty days from delivery, for a full refund of what you paid. Use it a few times. If it's not yours, send it back. Damaged, defective or wrong items are refunded or replaced regardless of use.

Yes. Shipping is free on every order in the contiguous United States, no minimum. Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and the US territories ship for a flat $5.99 per order.

Yes. Shipping to the Canadian provinces is free on every order except a single bar on its own, which ships for C$2.75. Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut: C$9.99 for a single bar, C$7.99 flat for everything else.

Each bar is a character, and each character is a scent and a grit level. The Harvester: citrus, smooth. The Seafarer: sandalwood, light grit. The Executive: bergamot, medium grit. The Woodsman: cedarwood, medium grit. The Smith: charcoal, heavy grit. Most men have one that fits.

Grit is the exfoliation in the bar. Smooth (Harvester), nothing abrasive in it, for sensitive skin and the face. Light (Seafarer) for every day. Medium (Executive, Woodsman) for a proper scrub without going hard. Heavy (Smith) for hands, feet, shoulders and after training. Not sure? Start one level lighter than you think you want.

A mild cleansing base (the primary cleansing agent is sodium cocoyl isethionate, derived from coconut), shea butter, avocado oil, jojoba oil and glycerin, plus the exfoliants and clays that give each character its grit: oat kernel meal, kaolin, charcoal, rice powder, green clay, luffa and pumice, depending on the bar. No SLS or SLES. No parabens, no phthalates. Nothing animal-derived, no microplastic exfoliants. Vegan-friendly and biodegradable, on an RSPO-certified vegetable base.

Yes. All-natural is how we describe the bars: vegetable-based oils, natural exfoliants and clays, glycerin. What each bar is free from is listed above, and the full ingredient list is on every product page and every label.

Every bar is 4.5 oz (127 g) of soap; the 170.1 g on the spec table is the shipping weight, wrap and box included. It's slow to dissolve and lasts months of daily showers for one person. Keep it somewhere it can drain between uses and it lasts longer still.

The Harvester is the one for that: smooth, nothing abrasive in it, and at your skin's pH. The heavier-grit bars are built for the body.

Our bars are made in North America by Hunter Amenities, a contract manufacturer with more than forty years in soaps and personal care and GMP, ISO 22716 and RSPO certifications. One of its directors is one of our two founders.

Yes. Each character comes as a single bar or a 3-pack, and three bars cost 16% less than three singles. The 5-bar variety set has one of each character. It's the easiest way to find yours.

That character is built, not born. Small daily actions, laid one at a time like bricks, each one counting because you laid the one before. The morning shower is the first brick of the day. We make the bar for it. That's the whole philosophy, and it's why the bar is shaped like a brick.

Healthy skin sits at about pH 4.1 to 5.8, a little below neutral. Ordinary bar soap sits at 9 to 10, because that is what saponification, the process that makes soap, produces. The Brick is formulated to 4.5–5.5, inside your skin's own range. Same job, cleaning, done at the pH your skin already runs at instead of against it.

You were taught that tight, squeaky feeling means properly clean. It doesn't. It's what a pH 9–10 wash leaves behind: your skin's surface pH pushed up by about three points, and most of a working day to settle back. That tightness is the stripping, not the cleaning. A bar built to your skin's pH cleans without it.

Yes. Cleansing is surfactants doing their job. Ours do it at your skin's pH instead of against it. What you lose is the tight feeling afterwards, and that feeling was never the cleaning.

It's a bar you wash with, and we call it a bar of soap the way everyone does. Chemically, traditional soap is made by saponifying fats, which fixes it at pH 9–10. The Brick is formulated differently, with mild cleansing agents, because that's the only way a bar lands at 4.5–5.5. We gave up the word 'soap' on the label to get the pH.

The Harvester. Citrus, smooth, nothing abrasive in it. It's our gentlest bar. Reactive skin tends to run alkaline already, and most bar soap pushes it further the same way; a bar at your skin's pH simply doesn't add to that. If it doesn't agree with you, the 30-day return policy applies even after you've used it.

Sweat is odourless when it leaves you. Odour is what skin bacteria make from it. Ordinary soap scrubs them off and then leaves your skin a friendlier place for the bacteria behind odour; a bar at your skin's own pH doesn't. That's all we claim, and it's how skin works.

There's plenty of it. The difference is character, not volume: creamier and less big-bubbly than traditional soap, and it rinses clean. With no soap-and-hard-water reaction there's no mineral film left behind, on you or on the shower door.
